Flying Solo was founded in 2016, at a time when few believed that designers could thrive through collaboration instead of competition. It began with just 10 New York City-based designers who quite literally built the first store with their own hands. Today, Flying Solo has grown to represent over 250 designers from around the world, with flagship stores in New York and Paris, and an impressive portfolio of 40+ fashion shows across New York, Paris, Milan, and Miami.

The idea has always been simple: it's hard for independent brands to get noticed, but by joining forces, we can make our mark and demand the fashion industry's attention.

Flying Solo quickly proved to be a concept the industry desperately needed. Less than a month after our first store opened, WWD reached out and featured us, calling us "The Future of Retail." Soon after, we gained the attention of the New York Times, NY Magazine, Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. They all recognized that the traditional retail model no longer served the new wave of designers, and change was overdue.

We are retail and PR, created by DESIGNERS, for DESIGNERS. With designers at the helm, our mission is to empower fashion brands to grow, thrive, and have a little fun along the way.
